Château de Ronel
You will enjoy a memorable stay in one of our elegant guest rooms or our comfortable holiday homes.
Our XVIIIth century manor house is situated in a peaceful 20 acre enclosed wooded park.
Our five guest rooms are located in the main rectangular building sided by two towers on the south east façade. Each room has a unique charm and atmosphere.
Sophie Alice Schoelcher, the niece of Victor Schoelcher ( A French Navy’s Undersecretary of State who contributed to the abolition of slavery in 1848) lived here in her husband’s family home. She was married to Jérôme Justin de Bonne, Colonel of a Hussar regiment.
You will love the refined decoration of the rooms and the peaceful ambiance. Deep in the countryside you will appreciate a restful stay, take advantage of the amenities such as the natural water pool, the travellers’ lounge, the dining-room or bistrot where we serve evening meals prepared with organic vegetables from our own vegetable garden.
A new more intimate style of tourism
Our area provides many opportunities to visit places of interest such as Albi and its UNESCO World Heritage episcopal city, the Gaillac vineyards, Cordes-sur-Ciel and Lautrec seen as two of the most beautiful French medieval villages, the cities of Toulouse and Carcassonne, the Gorges of the River Tarn or Aveyron.
