The Castle

Château de Ronel

4 épis Gîte de France

In a closed parc of 8 hectares with secular trees, the Ronel Castle will seduce by its calm and its 18th century atmosphere.
The rectangular main building flanked by two towers on its south-east facade, houses 5 harmonious and sophisticated guests rooms, each with a specific spirit.
Sophie Alice Schœlcher, the niece of Victor Schœlcher (Undersecretary of State for the French Navy and best known for his contribution to the abolition of slavery in 1848) lived in this house with Jérôme Justin De Bonne, her husband who was Colonel of Hussars. The Ronel castle was the family home.
